Ikan Celebrates Five Years of Continued Success

Ikan Consulting is celebrating 5 years of continued success by providing service on projects that are designed to protect and enhance the environment.

Some of Ikan's most impressive projects include:

• Energy City, Qatar project D-17 located within Sector D of the Energy City Master Plan. The intention and aim of this incredible 5-story office building is to become a sustainable environment and achieve a minimum of LEED Silver Certification.

• Palm Jebel Ali Towers design competition in Dubai. Project concept design is anticipated to reach LEED Gold Certification. Some of its "green" concepts include integrated wind power, solar concentrated electrical generation, photovoltaic panels, radiant cooling, energy recovery ventilation, occupancy sensor controls, LED and CFL lighting systems, ground source geothermal cooling, and tidal power generation.

• Facility Management project located in Airport City, Dubai. This project concept design is targeted to reach LEED Silver Certification. Some Sustainable Design Methods applied to the project concept design are sustainable sites, water reduction, energy efficiency, recycled materials and resources, and environmental quality.

• The award-winning YMCA Camp Greenkill Lodge located in Orange County, NY. This project has reached LEED Gold Certification. Some of the highlights include recycled materials and resources, energy efficient lighting, high efficiency plumbing fixtures, low VOC paints, tankless hot water heaters, native landscaping, and passive solar design.
