Historic Farmhouse Addition and Renovation.

Ikan Consulting has been selected to redesign and renovate a farmhouse in Glen, NY. The original structure is estimated to have been built between 1750 and 1800. Project highlights include off-grid power system powered by wind turbine, reuse of hand finished beams, and original timber frame structure. The addition will be furnished with wood flooring and structure reclaimed from historic barn de constructed on site. Sustainable measures include passive solar and thermally massive Russian stove for heating.
