Ikan Study finds, Ceramic Based Thermal Coatings Lower Building Heat Transfer by up to 50%
April 03, 2006

A recent Research Study conducted by Ikan at the University of Rochester found that the addition of ceramic additives to latex based paint reduced radiant heat flux through the thermal coating by up to 50%. Using ceramic-based thermal coatings for building applications in conjunction with passive solar and radiant conditioning methods offers the most energy efficient conditioning option currently available for building applications.
